I’ve always wanted to be one of those cool trackers like Sherlock Holmes where I could unravel the mysteries  just by looking at a single track! 

 

Photographing nature has led me down the tracking path allowing my naturalist, adult-life to become a detective. 

 

If you’re lucky enough to find tracks while on a hike there’s a lot, you can learn. They might tell you how fast something was moving, in what direction, how large, and what kind of species.   

 

Once the tracking bug bites, you’ll never look at the dirt in the same way again!  I’m still on the hunt for mountain lion, bear and bobcat tracks which I’m darn certain someday I’ll find…. I can’t wait!
