If your elderberry tree is still growing and not yet producing berries  use store bought dried elderberries that's what I do when I make elderberry jelly!

I took a native plant landscaping class at Theodore Payne Foundation and this book really helped me select the right plant for the right place in my's my go -to book for native planting!

I recently purchased this book and love the attention to native plant details! 


It  describes each CA native plant; how to successfully grow  them in your landscape, and the companion plants that help support them.

It also gives you  suggestions on what flowers to  plant in your garden for improve

If you like watching and attracting butterflies, hummers and native bees this book is a motivator.  Stories of gardeners and their creative habitat gardens.

I like to include both native and non natives for seasonal color and  help provide

year-around nectar

plants for my hummers and butterflies and this book does it all!
