Photographing prehistoric sea shells
Las Llajas Canyon, Simi Valley
When I was a small child, I loved to collect small rocks and bring them home to study.
My mother would say "keep your rocks and dirt outside and if you plan to keep them put them in the rose garden for good luck". I still collect small rocks to study and put them out in my veggie garden for good luck! I’m captivated by their formation, how they've been lifted from earth through the shifting tectonic plates, and exposing ancient sea creatures dating back millions of years. My favorite is when you a boulder or stone looks like a face!
I hope you enjoy this month newsletter gallery of ROCKS.
