Nutmeg seed - Hawaii

Seeds may seem small and uninteresting however, I think of them as a symbol of natures' tenacity for life!

As a child walking beneath the Redwood forest of northern California I'd ask myself “how was it possible that a huge and majestic tree came from such a tiny seed?”

I have a deep respect for natures' seeds, and find it completely fascinating how they’ve evolved over millions of years. Within their protective shell a seed will carry an embryo of living cells ready to form root, stem, leaves, and with a full set of instructions on how to grow, protect itself and reproduce.....WOW so cool!

Please enjoy this months photo gallery of Seeds of Life that I’ve captured through my lens while hiking and traveling around the world.

Enjoy!
